Oh, yeah. And just when you think you've found your holy grail, the fit model or last changes. Such is life. I'd like to know whether they're worthwhile to pursue for my wide but low volume feet. I have a medium to slightly wide foot and a normal instep. I found the arch too high in some of the Danskos all closed-back clogs so it pushed painfully into the tendon under my instep. I have straight navy in the sanita's but i they were my first pair and i didn't realize how much they stretch. I was getting painful calluses on each of my big toes and had to stop wearing my Dansko's.

I wonder if they were too big. I know they weren't too small. I was in 45s thinking about trying 44s. I have size 36 Danskos that fit perfectly, and the new size 36s that I just ordered by mail are much bigger. I think I can wear them, but they fit so different than the older ones that I love!

To add confusion to the mix: I just ordered a size 36 Sanita by mail, and those were too small…. I am officially a size 37 in the Sanita, 36 in the old Dansko, and 35 in the newer Dansko. I was a fiercely loyal dansko wearer for many years and feel that they are not educating their customer on the difference between them and sanita. I feel like they are hiding the truth and decieving their customers.

They have lost this consumer for good. Every pair of my Dansko's since fit so differently. I know I will get what I expect each time I buy a Sanita! In Dansko when ordering by mail I always have to go down a size but in Sanita I have to go up a size. Have stopped buying Danskos as have my mother and sisters. Made in China means made for bigger feet; this is not the European last that we were accustomed to.

My sister has gone to Sanita, the name that appeared on the soles of my old Danskos, and supposedly still made in Denmark. Have some 39 Dansko professionals, which fit perfectly. Ordered some 39 Sanitas, which are too narrow.

I am now wondering whether I should exchange them for a 40 Sanita or a 39 Dansko. I have many pairs of old 39 Danskos that are absolutely perfect.

Just ordered about 8 pairs of 39 Sanitas and shipped them to myself in South-East Asia, and they are all too narrow! I don't know if a 40 Sanita will fit well or if I should just refund all of them and lose alot of shipping money Sigh…. Spent an entire afternoon at three different shoe stores that sell both brands.

I was frustrated with Dansko sizing too! I have a narrow heel and found myself between the 39 way too small! I had a very old pair of mary jane-style Sanitas size 41 and was surprised I was in that kind of sizing for Dansko— and very happy I didn't order the 41 in Dansko online.

Yes, Dansko fit very differently across styles. Sanita was consistent in sizing and fit my narrow-ish heel perfectly. Guess what? The size 41 still fits perfectly. I am a tried and true dansko fan, I own about 15 pair and wear a 37, but I found a pair of sanita that I loved and ordered a 37 needeless to say they were too little, so I ordered a 38 and they were too big and looked long. I guess I'll stick with what I know dansko size 37!!

And FYI I have began to notice calluses on my great and small toes, and a lot of chipped nail polish as well, good for the feet bad for the toes!! I won't buy Danskos anymore. All made in China, or somewhere in Asia. Call me stupid, but I think clogs should be made in Europe. Sanitas are still made in Europe. I find Sanitas are narrower and are better formed than Danskos, even my Danskos I bought in I have a lot of problems with them staying on my feet and randomly twisting my ankles.

It's a little annoying. Dansko that were made in Italy has a nice fit,i loved it. I bought another pair,i didn't know it was made in China and it was tight and hurts my feet after few hours of wearing them. Wish you all stick to just one manufacturer! They're not cheap either. Sanita beats Dansko any day! I have some old Dansko clogs which are fine.

However, when I went back to buy another pair in , they really were not the same. I went to a store that sells Sanita and found that they not only fit fine, but I could wear them for hours on end right out of the box and I have a particularly fussy right foot.

Stick with Sanita. I have an old pair of Danksos s that I love!! They fit perfectly. I tried the Professional on recently and the the size 39 was too small. Usually I do take a 39 or 9. Have not tried the Sanita yet.

I do like the idea of a wider heel base but I think anything made in China is not well constructed. I have more than 10 pairs of Dansko size I just bought 2 new pairs of Dansko size 37 on line. They are much narrow and smaller and they both are made in China. I am very disappointed of the new Dansko and thinking about switching to Sanita. I have a question about both brands.

Which one will have beter support? I suffer from plantar fasciitis and have major problems with arch and heel pain. I am a busy hairstylist, and therefore on my feet ALL day. I recently purchased my first pair of danskos. I have worn them daily for about a week, and at the end of the day my arches are in PAIN.

Is this normal? Should I try the Sanita? I wore Danskos for years until Sanita stopped making them. Now I wear Sanitas—and only the Dansko stapled clog collection. I need lots of arch support, and find that the wooden clog platform is best. Just bought a brown pair of Sanitas professional clogs, and I have to admit that I like them better! I thought I would always be a loyal Dansko wearer, but the narrower fit of the Sanitas hugs my narrow heel better, and I didn't have a single ankle roll today!

My Danskos always end up stretching out too much in the heel, and I roll my ankle at least once every couple of days.

We'll see…. I bought a pair of Danskos three years ago; they were great, but are now worn out. I got a new pair and they simply don't fit and can't be stretched to fit. Horrible thick bulging built in strap over the instep that is sheer torture—cuts into the instep and keeps my feet out of the shoe; next size up is obviously too big in the last.

Right and left shoes seem to be different sizes. Turns out they are Chinese knockoffs; the old ones I now know are Sanitas.

The manager at the shoe store acts like the trouble is with me. Total waste of money and they won't give me a refund; live and learn. Immediately previous pair of new Danskos came apart at the seams after a couple of months. I don't find a store with Sanitas around here, but Amazon has free shipping and returns. One has to recognize that there is a significant difference in quality and quality control when items are made in such diverse manufacturing locations.

I bought Sanita clogs in a size 38 and they caused me to have excruciating pain after wearing them a few hours. Returned those and searched and found a 39 that has a somewhat comfortable toebox and heel area, but feel really tight across the bridge of the shoe after I got them home. My shoe size is 7. Can the Sanitas be broken in?

My Dansko Kelsey's were able to be broken in but now they're stretched out of shape with no support. The sanitas seem to have better support. Sanita is definitely true to size than Dansko. Dansko seems to be a little larger and wider. Sanita may be a touch narrier but fit better. I am so glad to find this site! I thought I was crazy.
